Economist Alex Cobham - Tax Justice Seminar

Alex Cobham, economist and Chief Executive of the Tax Justice Network, came to Dublin to speak at an event organised by Financial Justice Ireland. Alex presented an overview of the current conditions of global tax justice to a group of us who worked in the sector. To complement his talk, Alex also wrote a blog for us, contextualising his trip to Dublin, which took place against a backdrop of international tax negotiations. 

In this video, Alex articulates the challenges and opportunities in the current political context; how they relate to Ireland's unique position on corporation tax; and hopes for the negotiations on international tax cooperation underway at the UN.
