Demilitarising Finance Resource Page

As part of Culture Night 2025, Financial Justice Ireland collaborated with AFRI to host Demilitarising Finance: A Walking, Talking and Singing Tour of the International Financial Services Centre, Dublin.

As an accompaniment to last year's walking tour, we've compiled this list of useful resources for educators, activists, and all those in our broader network.

We think itโ€™ll be of interest to anyone who wants to learn about some of the topics addressed in our tour, or indeed, anyone curious to know more about the link between capitalism and the crisis of care that afflicts our society.

During summer 2025, our team attended the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in Seville (you can find a full account of our experience here). While in Seville, we also attended the FfD4 Parallel Event, ๐˜ฟ๐™š๐™ข๐™ž๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ง๐™ž๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š:  ๐—ช๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ปโ€™๐˜€ ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ณ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜, ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐˜ & ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ฐ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—š๐—น๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜h, co-organised by APWLD, ESCR-Net and the Asian Peopleโ€™s Movement on Debt and Development (APMDD). Our attendance at this event would go on to inform the walking tour we launched in Autumn.

Below is a selection of global citizenship education materials related to peace, justice and our call to demilitarise finance.
